Crunchy carrot-cheese oven sticks

Crispy carrot-cheese oven sticks - I deliberately call my recipe "sticks" and not fries. Why? You surely know the many recipes for e.g. sweet potato fries. But let's be honest, they rarely get really crispy.

If you expect "French fries", you will be disappointed. But these cheese sticks deliver what they promise. The
Carrots don't really get firm, but the cheese does! It gives the softer carrot sticks an irresistible
fragrance and is guaranteed to give the necessary crunchiness. Oh yes, you can also exchange the grated Parmesan cheese for grated young Gauda. And so easy! You can make the Crispy Carrot and Cheese Oven Sticks like on the video:
Melt coconut oil, add parmesan and roll the carrot sticks in it. Or you can place the carrot sticks raw on a baking tray covered with baking paper and simply sprinkle the cheese on top. You can use coconut oil as you like. Between 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon. Do you love baked goods as much as we do? Then you might also like my quinoa broccoli casserole or my healthy Mac 'n cheese.
After my summer break I am really looking forward to many new recipes with you! Autumn brings so many delicious vegetables and the cosy autumn evenings provide the perfect backdrop 😉
Of course, there is also my classic cookbook! Here are all our favorite family recipes collected! 70 recipes are actually only in this book and not on my blog! So: it's worth it 😉 You can order it here.

By Sandra Ludes Serves: 1 tray for about 2-3 persons
Prep Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 25 minutes

  • 10 carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 1-2 tablespoons of liquid coconut oil (or just drizzle a little over it, as you like)
  • 100g (1 + 1/4 cup) grated Parmesan (or young Gauda)
  • Salt and who likes pepper

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees F)

Melt the coconut oil in a pot and stir in the grated parmesan.

Add the carrot sticks and roll them with your hands in the coke oil-parmesan mixture until everything is wetted.

Place the carrot sticks on a baking tray covered with baking paper. They must not overlap or come together.

Bake for 25 minutes.

If you want it even easier, put the carrot sticks raw on the baking paper and sprinkle them with some coconut oil and grated cheese. This way the cheese does not stick to the carrot all around, but when it lands on the plate together with them, it tastes just as wonderful!
